Final Feature
I would like to cover the Detroit Electronic Music Festival and what it is doing for the suffering town if anything. First of all the show is going to be ridiculous and full of action, and also Detroit is always a good frame to put things in. I'll be there for three days and I can talk to audience members and maybe even some of the smaller acts.

Colin, you should have been in Detroit this past weekend for the Downtown Hoedown (http://www.wycd.com/pages/437111.php). Now that would have been a story. Just watching the people walk to the festival was entertaining enough.
ReplyDeleteI think covering the electronic music festival is an ambitious idea. Think of how you can break the festival up into smaller story lines. I like the angle about what it brings to Detroit but even that's a big bite to chew on.
What are some of the other conflicts present at music festival? Who are some of the other personalities you could focus on? Is there an oft overlooked worker or part of the event?
